Tide $2/1 Coupon Talk

So, there has been alot of talk on blog sites about the new $2/1 any size Tide Coupon that came in this weekend's P & G insert.  On the Tide Facebook Page, this is what they stated:

Now, when used at Walmart, there should be an overage of $1.03 ea. and the register WILL beep at the cashier (I know because I did this) I didn't have any problems with the transaction only the cashier had to partner with the CSM to approve it. Tides Facebook Page now updated this statement with the following:

So there should be no problem using them. How do you feel about the integrity of using coupons with a high value such as this Tide one being used on Trial sized purchases? How do you think it will effect the future distribution of coupons?
